Experience in Australia!
Spent the last weekend in Brisbane and it was great! The last time when I was in Brisbane was 2002. Got to meet up all my MBA buddies/classmate; Paul and Rachel, Yin and Alan, Brandon and Bebe. Had an Aussie BBQ on Saturday and a dinner party on Sunday. I’ve learnt how to play Texas Hold’em Poker with them . I’m beginning to feel that dinner party is a great way to keep in touch with close friends even after they are married or have kids. It’s great seeing how they’ve built up their lives. Wished I had more time to talk to them and share our experiences over this few years. Anyways, we made plans to meet up in Singapore for Chinese New Year!
Work in Australia is kinda slow pace actually….Not really what I was expecting. Was hoping for something more exciting and challenging. Anyways, I just play my part and go along with my team leader.
I’ve been thinking and reflecting alot…..Really considering if I should move back to Singapore…..Reason? Perhaps I should spent sometime with my parents. It’s been over 10 years since I’ve stayed with them. Well of course there are the usual pros and cons, but the filial piety in me seems to be kicking in overdrive recently. How many decades more do we and our parents have? But anyways, I’m still thinking ultimately where do I want to settle down….Singapore, Australia, or Malaysia. Jeez….talk about confused!
For now just hoping to finish up my tour of duty in Australia and head back to good old KL for the Christmas and New Year Holiday. Perhaps 2007 will be a good year to go into some serious relocation!
