It’s been a while since I wrote something so I here it goes….

Went to watch Rocky Balboa with my colleague in Canberra yesterday. It was a good movie! Much better than Rocky V. I’ve watched the entire Rocky series since I was just a kid. It’s not your usual action packed movie and I have to admit that at times it gets quite slow and boring. However, it is the moral or spirit behind the movie that makes it appealing to me.

This time round, Rocky is hella old already but still really buff. Well there is quite a few morals of the story this time;

Life will beat you down until you are flat on the ground….unless you have the courage to stand up, face life and fight back, you will just going to be flat on the ground…..

The last thing to age is your heart…..

Fighting and chasing what you believe in all the way…..

There are many more but those are the few I remembered. The one that struck me the most was the one about life always punching and beating you down….Guess we just have to fight back…..Never give up….

The last time I watch Rocky V was with a good buddy of mine. We were still studying in Secondary school. I can still remember it was in Chinatown point in Singapore. The last I heard from him was Sep 2006 and he was still in working in Taiwan as the GM for some fitness company. Damn its probably 15 years ago already……Guess we are really getting old…..

Just spent Chinese New Year alone in Australia working….Cheez….really missed my family and friends…..I’ve been here for one and half months already and will be going back to Malaysia sometime mid April…..The company is proceeding to apply for PR visa in Australia, but I’m having serious thought about going back to Singapore and spending sometime with my parents…..Will have to see how it turns out.

Hmm….how much money do we really need? So far more money for me just means a bigger better car for me…..As I get older, can’t eat as much as I used to….Don’t spend on fashion since I don’t care much about it….I have food, shelter, clothing, and all the basic needs covered….Maslow Hierarchy of Needs…From Basic needs to Self Actualization???…..Guess I’m looking for something more fulfilling……Time is becoming a limited resources now….

Spoke to my Dad during CNY and he’s talking about going into full retirement….talking about having some left over time for himself…..I guess I was just weighing out time and $$$……How much money is it worth to be away from your family and friends? Yeah working overseas is fun initially…..Get to see the world, but after staying in a hotel for months….It just doesn’t seem fun anymore…..
